The Commission for the Promotion of Peru - PromPeru - organized Peru's participation in Madrid Fusion, IV International Summit of Gastronomy, with the desire to better position destination Peru through its culinary culture by demonstrating its range of flavors and aromas. During the event, PromPeru had the Peru Mucho Gusto Stand set up, where, besides offering samples of our most exquisite dishes, Johnny Schuler, the president of the National Brotherhood of Peruvian Tasters, expounded on the elaboration and the excellent qualities of our pisco.
Representing Peru were Gaston Acurio, who set up an extraordinary exposé on Peruvian cuisine, and the renowned chef Toshiro Konishi, who has received two consecutive invitations to attend from the summit's organizers and was the chef responsible for the event's inauguration dinner.
The summit, taking place from January 17th to the 19th, played host to finest representatives in the world of gastronomy, as well as being the scene for presenting the innovative cooking techniques and recipes of a large number of chefs from around the world.
